Day 2 : Travel to Cangas de Onis, Asturias, Spain

Cangas de Onis Picos de Europa National Park Asturias Spain Trip date: 2020-July-21 Today we would move to the city  Cangas de Onis in Asturias and stayed 4 nights there. On the way to Cangas de Onis from Riaño, the landscape was incredible beautiful. We stopped for many times just for enjoying the fantastic view .  We stopped in a tourist office of Picos of Europe. We bought one bottle of Sidra and Sobao in one small shop. We were in the zona of Picos of Europa already.  Another charming village with river.  Since there were no restaurants on the way, we ate the home-made bread we just bought in a small bakery in the region and with hams and cheeses we brought.  We found Estacion de desovede Salmones (La Salmonera de Caño) by accident in Caño. Such a beautiful place. ​ Finally, we arrived at our ​destination .  Cangas de Onis is a bigger town than others in Asturias which has a lot of restaurantes, bars, shops and also supermarkets....

Day1 : Travel to Riaño, León Province, Spain

Riaño  Riaño Lake ( Embalse de  Riaño)  León Province, Spain Trip date: 2020-July-20 We traveled from Madrid to Asturias y Cantabrias for 2 weeks. The first stop was Riaño. Riaño's lake  ( Embalse de  Riaño)  is an artifical lake, a  reservoir  was formed by contrusting a dam in 1987. The town we visit today calls New Riaño. Around 1987, many villages were moved to a higher place for the new construction of the new dam. The old Riaño (in totally 9 villages) is  abandoned and now is under the water .  To see: A small church near the lake ( Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Rosario) The best bench in Leon ( banco más bonito de León ) The memory trail ( Paseo del Recuerdo) Other activities you also can do: go trekking, take a boat, do water sport...etc.  Since here is only one immtermediate stop for us, we only stay one afternoon and one night.  Hotel Presa 2 stars: The room is not very big, but overall it is fine....
